How to start living the abundant life

We start by believing what God’s word says and the four facts in God's word that got me started were facts about God, Himself. These four facts about God allowed me to stop ignoring Him, or worse, blaming him for every bad thing that happens. Here they are.

1.    God is perfect in his judgment.

Deu 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he

2.    God’s thoughts are much higher thoughts than our thoughts.

Isa. 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

3.    God’s thoughts and desires toward his children are only thoughts for good, not evil.

Jer. 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

4.    God loves all mankind and provides a way of being restored from sin and receiving eternal life for all.

Jhn. 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Remember this one thing. God will never leave his own children. That includes you, if you are indeed a true believer in Christ.

Heb. 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Most of us Christians, in the purest sense, do not consistently believe these truths about God, which I have just quoted above. Instead, we often sidestep these truths in favor of believing watered down versions of the Bible presented by false teaching, or even our own carnal minds. This voids the word of truth, thus, causing our actions in life to be misdirected.

Col. 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

It is the actual word of God which empowers us and not the false interpretation of that word by false teachers. Beware false teaching. It is the number one killer of Christians here on earth.

2Ti. 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

What are some traditions (False concepts) that make the word of non-effect in your life? We all have some.
